About Individual Applications
An individual application is a route to the Constitutional Court, after ordinary remedies have been exhausted, alleging that fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution have been violated.
The grounds of the alleged violation, the chronology of events, and the admissibility requirements are important. Each file is assessed separately; no promise as to outcome is given.
- Exhaustion of legal remedies
- Time limits and admissibility requirements
- Concretising the alleged violation
- Presenting events in chronological order
Information Note
An individual application is not a substitute for ordinary appeal or cassation. Whether it is appropriate is examined according to the concrete decision and the file. Contact channels on the website may be used.
